The Understanding Group
The Understanding Group is an information architecture consulting firm where I interned in the fall of 2016. I was assigned to create models of the existing ecosystem for a client of their's. I had to sign a non-disclosure agreement for this project, thus I can not say who the client was. I was assigned to make models of the whole system as a nesting of domains, interactions people have with the system, within and across domains, and a model to encompass the entities in the system, and the relationships with each other. These initial models help establish the current state of an information system and act as a map as to how to proceed forward in creating a more effective system. As the project is under a non-disclosure agreement , all models presented below have been modified to not reveal the content of the project, but still represent the type of work that I completed during my internship.
Mapping of Categories

Entities Within The System
This model is an example of Entities that exist within a system (nested domains).
Interactions Users Have With the System
This model is an example of the model made to show the interactions users have with the environment.
